Ways
To
Get
Fitter |

Spring
is
in
the
air.
It's
been
a
great
week,
warmer
weather,
even
some
sunshine.
Valentines
day,
lighter
nights
and
brighter
mornings
really
does
lift
the
spirit.
On
Tuesday,
I
had
a
big
surprise
when
my
daughter
called
me
at
6.30
am
and
said
she
couldn't
get
down
the
stairs,
I
jumped
out
of
bed
only
to
find
a
huge
heart
shaped
balloon,
little
heart
chocolates
and
confetti
everywhere!!
My
lovely
daughter
29
years
old,
really
jumped
on
the
valentine's
train
and
showered
me
with
goodies.
Poppy
our
dog
also
got
in
the
spirit!
I
have
attached
attached
a
picture
and
a
lovely
photo
of
my
Sunday
walkers
also
an
amazing
image
of a
dog
looking
at
the
coots
on
the
Long
Water
in
Home
Park,
he
looks
more
like
a
panther,
Oh
and
this
fantastic
image
was
taken
on a
Sunday
morning
at
08.30
am
on a
very
frosty
crisp
morning
but
it
was
worth
it.

I
would
like
to
say
big
congratulations
to
Marissa
and
her
husband
Steve.
Marissa
gave
birth
to a
darling
little
girl
called
Annabelle
on
13th
January
2012.
Marissa
walked
with
us
more
or
less
up
until
she
had
Annabelle
and
I am
sure
Nordic
kept
her
in
great
shape
for
the
birth.
We
now
have
our
first
Nordic
walking
baby.
With
the
weather
changing,
now
is
the
time
to
get
your
Nordic
poles
out
of
the
cupboard
and
join
the
classes.
We
are
really
setting
a
good
pace
and
we
have
never
been
renowned
for
sauntering
around
the
park,
why
walk
with
poles
when
you
can
Nordic
Walk,
it
takes
effort
and
effort
gets
results
:-)
The
next
Nordic
walkout
to
see
the
snowdrops
in
the
Chiltern
Hills
followed
by a
pub
lunch
is
on
Sunday
26th
February
starting
at
08.15am
from
Bushy
Park,
(car
share
available)
we
will
walk
up
hill
and
across
country
approximately
7
miles,
the
scenery
is
stunning
and
the
26th
is
the
weekend
when
the
snowdrops
are
meant
to
be
at
their
best.
Cost
of
the
walk
is
£12.00.
We
have
a
great
weight
loss
programme
starting
on
Monday
26th
March
for
6
weeks,
walking
three
times
a
week
at
06.15
am
for
one
hour,
if
you
follow
my
plan
you
will
lose
weight
and
I
promise,
no
running
involved.
All
you
have
to
do
is
sign
up
and
turn
up
for
great
results.
Back
by
popular
demand,
DYNAMIC
NORDIC.
It's
a
great
class
every
Monday
for
six
weeks
starting
at
19.00hrs
on
Monday
26th
March.
£50.00
for
six
weeks.
My
clients
have
been
keeping
really
fit.
We
say
welcome
to
Wendy,
Monica
and
David
who
are
making
really
good
progress
and
enjoying
their
sessions.
On
Saturday
I
have
another
five
people
wanting
to
learn
the
technique
of
nordic
walking
and
I
hope
they
will
also
enjoy
the
benefits
Nordic
brings.
Nordic
walking
is
now
even
more
affordable
than
ever
before,
why
not
join
our
monthly
plan,
no
big
outlay,
and
great
benefits.
It
took
us
time
to
get
our
payment
plan
right
but
now
we
have
it
sorted
once
and
for
all
our
new
plan
makes
it
really
easy
and
affordable.
Three
good
reasons
to
Nordic
Walk:
- Walking Increases endorphins (our feel good hormones), which helps us when we are feeling a little low or melancholy. Walking is great antidepressant and better t and
- Some physiological benefits include improved heart and lung functionality, helping to increase stamina, endurance and aerobic fitness.
- Socialising, exercising, burning a few calories and working your upper body makes you stronger and contributes to helping you live longer.
To
find
out
my
three
ways
to
get
fitter
join
my
class
and
I
will
show
you.
Remember
it
is
Shrove
Tuesday
on
21st
February.
I am
going
to
make
the
traditional
lemon
and
sugar
but
I
might
make
the
family
some
cheese
and
bacon
savory
too.
Keep
Nordic
walking
and
hope
to
see
you
on
one
of
my
walks
soon
and
remember
making
an
effort
gets
results.

- Now is a great time to book your Fitness Holiday. We have scheduled our first break for Tuesday 20th March until Friday 23rd March a 3 night, four day break, full of healthy nutritious menus, lots of Nordic Walking, fitness classes and leisure time to swim in a lovely heated indoor pool. The holiday will take place in Somerset and the total all inclusive cost is £300.00 per person based on twin beds. A deposit of £100.00 (terms and conditions apply) will secure your place. The accommodation is high specification, we have 8 spaces available therefore it is advisable to book early. Last year the holiday was a complete success and great fun. We serve three meals a day cooked from scratch with natural ingredients and exercise is tailored for the holiday and to get you back on route for the remaining year. For more information please speak to Beverley or call 07903 356 092 or pay on-line by clicking the link http://www.trynordic.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=59
- Walking Weight-loss Early morning walks and exercise plan, NO running involved!!! Starts Monday 26th March at 06.15am for 6 weeks - book your place as this is a great way to get fit and lose weight. Be determined this programme really will get you on track and in shape for your summer holiday. I will be at hand to give you motivation and all the eating tips you need to succeed plus regular emails to keep you on track.
- Back by popular demand, some ladies really do crave this class. The return of Dynamic Nordic an all-encompassing exercise routine that will most definitely challenge you and target areas of the body long forgotten, need I say more. A 6 week course starts on Monday 26th March at 19.00hrs.
- If you are a busy bee and do not have the time for regular exercise but would like some guidance and an exercise plan then look no further, I am offering Health Assessments, eating tips and exercise plan for just £50.00 per person. So if you want a general overhaul and some direction give me a call on 07903 356 092.
- Trynordic is set to grow in 2012 so after much deliberation we have decided to move our payment system to a monthly direct debit. This not only makes Nordic Walking more affordable for the client, it is cost effective and helps us to manage our business professionally too. I will be giving out information and talking to clients over the next few weeks but in the meantime if you would like more information just give me a call on 07903 356 092.
- Our regular Walkout will continue, all up to date information is on the website, our next walk will be on Sunday February 19th when we return to Chilterns for the beautiful snowdrop walk, followed by pub lunch. Please book your place as this walk is popular. Cost of walk is 12.00 and whatever you want to eat at the pub. We also offer car sharing.
- Buddy Up - Introduce a friend and and receive a reduction in your own fees. If you introduce a friend to Nordic Walking or Personal Training and they sign up to a our new direct debit system, you will receive some great reductions yourself. Now that is a good incentive and one of many to come in 2012.
- Six Week Beginners course starting on Monday January 23rd. If you know somebody who wants to start Nordic Walking and improve fitness why not introduce them.
- My chosen charity for 2012 is called Facing the World. Facing the World is a registered British charity that provides life-changing reconstructive surgery to children with severe facial disfigurements. They also provide training in order to develop the infrastructure required for more children to receive the treatment they need in their own countries . I will be setting up a Just Giving page and will be organising a number of events to coincide with the Olympics. The surgeons and their teams are remarkable people who give freely to help others. Please log onto the Facing the world website to read more. https://www.facingtheworld.net/about-us

The
Big
Splash
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
British Swimming is working with the BBC to get the UK into the pool in a celebration of swimming called the Big Splash. And this is your invitation to join us. Come on in, the water's lovely.
The Big Splash seeks to encourage new people into the pool and help those who already swim to have more fun more often.
It is the world's biggest celebration of swimming stretching 10 months. Some of your favourite BBC faces will be taking part, so keep an eye out on TV, radio and online.
Get involved today and start making a Big Splash.
Why get involved?
|
 |
 |
More quality time with the kids, the companionship of an Aqua Aerobics class, training to be the best or just splashing about for a laugh, our Big Splashers have a range of reasons for making ripples. Which one are you?
Enjoying the water is something open to people of all ages and abilities. Everyone has a Big Splash in them and we all have different reasons for jumping in.
How do I join the celebration?
