Pro-Active South London Coaches Pledge |
| As part of our
contribution to the Olympic Legacy,
PRO-ACTIVE South London have launched ''The
Coaches Pledge'' - an Inspire Marked
project. |
 |
| It is hoped the Pledge
will increase participation in sport and
physical activity and raise awareness of the
role of coaches and the impact coaching can
have on the health and wellbeing of others. |
| We are asking
coaches to pledge at least one hour of free
coaching to clubs, community organisations
and individuals in London from now until the
30th September 2012, the closing of the
Paralympic games. |

Best Practice Guidelines for Coaching
Children & Young People's Activities |
Joint Guidance by sports coach UK & the
Child Protection in Sport Unit
The
document outlines suggested best practice,
not minimum legal
requirements. It builds on the work of
many governing bodies of sport and other
coach employing/ deploying organisations who
already issue specific advice on minimum
coach-to-participant supervision ratios (and
a range of other factors linked to the
welfare and safety of participants).
It is hoped that the document will: •
enhance existing practice • provide
guidance in areas where none currently
exists |

Minimum Standards for Deployment Guidelines |
A ‘must read’ for Coaches and Clubs. These

help clubs and coaches understand the
minimum standards required including
insurance, qualifications and welfare
checks.
The guidance paper will be
reviewed annually with updated versions
released via the sports coach UK website.
We hope you find this useful, why
not print it out and pin it on your
Noticeboard!
